ARTWORK Dimensions: 35' H x 15' W 

Standing as a landmark entrance to the 1,000-acre Cypress Waters development, Elemental Skytower is a monumental exploration of nature’s power over the built environment. This 35-foot installation took nine months to realize and was meticulously hand-assembled in the USA using solid 1″ stainless steel bars.

Its fractured silhouette—designed to appear as though the tower’s peak is being reclaimed by the wind—strikes a compelling balance between industrial strength and elemental spontaneity.

LOCATION: IBP18: PLANO CAMPUS — PLANO, TX

ARTWORK Dimensions: 18' H x 12' W (123 hand-painted porcelain plates) 

A sprawling wall installation of hand-thrown porcelain, Axis serves as a large-scale deconstruction of the decorative vase. Comprised of 123 individual plates, the work draws inspiration from traditional Chinese patterns to examine the fusion of inherited and appropriated ornamentation.

Molly Hatch translates classical motifs into a contemporary, three-dimensional narrative, bridging the gap between functional craft and expansive architectural installation.

ARTIST: BYUNGJIN KIM & JAEYONG KIM

LOCATION: Resort World Las Vegas® — Las Vegas, NV

ARTWORK Dimensions: 6' H x 6' W ea.

For the landmark Resorts World development in Las Vegas, BLANK SPACE facilitated a dual commission featuring the work of Byungjin Kim and Jaeyong Kim. Together, the artists offer a captivating material contrast within the space.

Byungjin Kim’s iconic heart sculpture is an intricate feat of metalwork, composed of countless welded steel letters that meticulously spell out the word "Love." Complementing this industrial precision are Jaeyong Kim’s vibrant, hand-sculpted donuts. Rendered in clay and finished with multiple glaze firings, these works provide a playful, tactile counterpoint that reimagines traditional ceramic art through a pop-culture lens. 

ARTIST: kyuhak lee & yuki matsueda

LOCATION: "The Landing" IBP — Dallas, TX

ARTWORK Dimensions: Lee: 6' H x 10' W EA. & Matsueda: 2.5' H x 15' W

This project pairs the meticulous craftsmanship of Kyuhak Lee with the sculptural wit of Yuki Matsueda. Both artists deconstruct the "act" of painting through highly unconventional materials.

Kyuhak Lee recreates Van Gogh’s The Siesta and Wheat Field with Cypresses using a mosaic of polystyrene strips wrapped in newspaper and traditional Korean hanji paper. The resulting assemblage mimics the physical texture of a brushstroke, offering a tactile, contemporary dialogue with art history.

Yuki Matsueda explores the explosive roots of creativity in Today’s Happy Colors. For this commission, Matsueda doubled the scale of his signature vacuum-formed style to create an expansive installation. The work captures the simple act of applying color, freezing a moment of artistic inspiration in three-dimensional space.

ARTIST: Nemo Jantzen

LOCATION: Surf and Sand Resort & Vea — Newport Beach, CA

Nemo Jantzen has collaborated with BLANK SPACE on numerous large-scale commissions for luxury hospitality environments. Jantzen’s signature three-dimensional works are created by encapsulating hundreds of curated photographic moments within glass spheres.

These individual lenses together form a unified composition that shifts between fragmented narrative and collective imagery. For these coastal California properties, the works serve as sophisticated focal points that bridge the gap between contemporary photography and sculptural installation.
