BLANK SPACE is proud to announce an exhibition of works by American mixed media artist Elyce Abrams. A painter based in Philadelphia, Elyce Abrams creates within the bounds of abstraction, where the natural state of shapes is change, and her pieces are emotive and unfiltered. Exploring feelings of mutual admiration, unease, and every competing force that keeps our futures unsteady, Abrams captures these values not in contention but in harmony.

Connection-Isolation is a response to today with forwards momentum. Hyper contemporary and not shy in its connections to a modern world of new anxieties, this exhibition goes beyond preaching, demands unafraidness; we cannot afford be too reserved, undemonstrative, restrained, demure in our grieving and remembrances of our communal identities. This exhibition will be on view in our online viewing room from 2/22 - 3/31/2022.

  • Contrasting tonalities, warmth

Connecting through conflict and nostalgia, these particular works on panel salute memory and healing as lovelorn virtues. Just some of her acrylic and spray paint works, these tell half of a recent, all-to-prominent story.

  • Cool tones and memory

Invoking memories of togetherness in a time of anxiety, Abrams explores isolation in hues denoting longing and reflection. Her lines begin to shed the rigidity by which they are aligned, letting in light once again.
